Level 20 Finland hosted yesterday the fourth session of PE Masterclass, with the focus to boardwork. Introduction words by Taru Lindeman from Boardman Oy. Juha Peltola from Vaaka Partners spoke under the topic ”Board Composition and Governance”. ”Value creation driven by the board” was presented by Kaj Hagros from Redstone and Hanna Viinikainen from Juuri Partners. Pauliina Martikainen from Maki.vc spoke on the topic ”Effective Communication and Collaboration”. Today the Level20 Finland young investment professionals got to participate in the Private Equity Masterclass session 3: financial analysis hosted by SEB. Themes in the presentations were: Valuation introduction by SEB Corporate Finance. VC deals its not only about valuation SEB Greentech VC. Valuation of later stage companies. Panel discussion covered many important topics where panelist shared their experiences. Thanks to the amazing hosting team at SEB Helsinki office: Jutta Rahikainen, Julia Kuosmanen, Markus Remes, Antti Makkonen, Mikko Huumo, Samira Aissi Maria Wikstrom and Christel Stenius and to the excellent external panelists Tom Henriksson and Teemu Mattila. Together the steering group consisting of Kitty Laine (née Saikkonen) (Mandatum Asset Management), Maiju Aspegren (Evli Growth Partners), Mona Saurén (Maki.vc), Minna Heimonen (MB Funds), Elise Haaksluoto (Intera Partners)?and Birgitta Langenski?ld (Beata Domus and Birgitta Langenski?ld Capital) they again?ambitiously arranged a session in the PE Masterclass series on the behalf of Level20 -Finland organization. Level 20 is a not-for-profit organisation founded with the aim of improving gender diversity in the private equity industry. In the second session of Level 20 Private Equity Masterclass the group of young female investment professionals got the opportunity to dive deeper into the theme of negotiation skills. The afternoon offered the theory of negotiations and a simulated negotiation game where participants could practice their negotiation skills. The day was wrapped up with shared negotiation experiences and key advice how to succeed in challenging negotiations. ? Earlier this week, Level 20 Finland organized a launch event that brought together over 60 key decision-makers from the Finnish PE and VC industry – including GP founders, CEOs, managing partners, and partners. Level 20 is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 with the aim of improving gender diversity in the private equity industry. The goal is for women to hold at least 20% of senior positions. The event, graciously hosted by Tesi, contained keynote speeches and panel discussion with esteemed international and local speakers sharing best practices for advancing diversity.
