Take a look into the JB Duke Hotel and Thomas Executive Conference Center! This project revitalized the Thomas Center – originally built in the late 1980s with contributions from Dave Thomas of Wendy's – for the Fuqua School of Business. The scope of work included demolition and renovation of 110 hotel guest rooms and public spaces, upgrades to MEP systems and air handling units, fire safety retrofits, enhanced dining facilities with new coolers and freezers, a new 5,450-SF ballroom and the construction of a seven-story guest tower with 88 rooms and meeting spaces. The project was completed within 26 months and aligned with sustainability goals to achieve LEED Silver certification.
