  • Frequent job changes on your resume tell a story. The question is — who gets to shape the narrative? If you’ve switched jobs frequently, interviewers might assume: —> You struggle with commitment. —> You don’t dive deep into your work but start something, possibly get bored, and move on. —> You have difficulty integrating into teams and company culture. But the reality might be more nuanced. Maybe you changed roles because: —> Your role became obsolete or evolved into something else. —> There was no career growth in the organization. —> The work wasn’t challenging enough. —> You were hired for a specific project, and once delivered, it was time to move on. —> The company culture wasn’t the right fit. Here's how you can approach this in an interview: 1. First, reflect on your own reasons for moving on. What prompted each exit? 2. Be objective — frame it as a matter of lack of alignment between your career goals and the organization’s needs, rather than placing blame on yourself or the company. 3. Highlight the skills, insights, and impact you carried forward from each role.
