Recently, Hale Library hosted Kansas State University College of Education for the university’s largest hands-on VR workshop to date. Led by Graduate Teaching Assistant and Doctoral Candidate Nooshin Darvishinia, future educators explored Reading World VR, an interactive reading comprehension tool by Skill Prepare. Everything ran flawlessly; despite earlier headset complications, no technical issues occurred and the students were fully immersed in both the technology and the lesson. It wasn’t just the students who were engaged. Dean Debbie Mercer (College of Education) and Dean Laurel Littrell (Libraries) also stopped by to participate. Special thanks to them, their communications teams, Library IT, the Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab staff, and Skill Prepare for supporting Nooshin, her students, and for ensuring the success of this event!
