Student at Kansas State University studying Operations and Supply Chain Management with a certificate in Professional Strategic Sales
Last weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to represent the Kansas State University College of Business in the General Motors Case Competition at Wayne State University - Mike Ilitch School of Business in Detroit! Aaron Doell, Evan Giles, Caleb Conyers, and I were tasked with optimizing the convenience packages for the Chevrolet Blazer EV program. Using GM’s Winning with Simplicity Initiative as well as their Zero, Zero, Zero goal, we began to come up with a solution that would maximize customer satisfaction and profitability. We were extremely blessed and honored to be named finalists in this year’s competition! Special thanks to Noah Godlewski, Bill Hurles, David Leich, Kevin Ketels and so many others who made this competition possible as well as our advisor Daniel Minick! Looking forward to hopefully coming back next year to network with all of these amazing people!

After participating in 2-hour Lean Sigma White Belt training with Mr. Doug Von Feldt at Kansas State University College of Business, I've obtained both Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma White Belt Certifications. After the training I: - Understand the background of Quality - Understand the background of Six Sigma - Understand the background of Lean - How Lean and Six Sigma work together - Have an introduction to the Six Sigma problem-solving methodology - Be introduced to the soft skills used in Lean Six Sigma.

Last week, Huhtamaki North America hosted the 2024 Sales Competition. Students from The University of Kansas School of Business, Kansas State University College of Business, University of Missouri-Columbia, and University of Iowa attend the competition. All of the students showed up and competed which made the final decision extremely difficult. Five students moved on to the final round to secure the contract on egg cartons. Congratulations to all who competed!!

Evan Giles, Mercer Thatcher, Aaron Doell, and I were very excited for the opportunity to represent Kansas State University College of Business along with the support from Daniel Minick! My team and I were tasked with optimizing the convenience packages for the Chevrolet Blazer EV program. We saw how GM is working to simplify vehicle options while maintaining customer satisfaction, profitability, and aligning with GM’s core principles. We were very excited to be named finalists in this competition! Special thanks to Noah Godlewski and others who made this competition possible. Very grateful for the knowledge gained and more connections made! Looking forward to hopefully being apart this next year!

Operation & Supply Chain Management/Data Analytics Student at Kansas State University | Graduating May 2026
Over the weekend, I had the privilege of representing the Kansas State University College of Business at the 2024 General Motors Case Competition, hosted by Wayne State University - Mike Ilitch School of Business and General Motors. It was an incredible experience where my team and I were challenged to optimize the Chevrolet Blazer EV packages. We conducted extensive research into consumer preferences, EV market trends, and package optimization to ensure the product's competitive edge. I’m especially proud to have worked alongside Caleb Conyers, Aaron Doell, and Mercer Thatcher. Together, we won our region and advanced to the finals. I’m grateful to have shared this journey with them. Presenting our solutions was both thrilling and educational, leaving us with invaluable insights. I’m extremely grateful for the networking opportunities this competition provided, and I hope to return next year. Special thanks to Daniel Minick for your mentorship and guidance during this journey, and a big shout-out to our sponsors!

Favorite Place (KSU) ???? Favorite Subject (Content) If you know me, you know how much K-State means to me. It’s one of my favorite places in the world. My time in MHK was defining and memorable in ways that are hard to fathom. That said… almost NONE of that was true as a student. No fault to the wonderful folks at the school, I was just a bad student with no sense of direction. So, when I got asked to come speak to @kstatebusiness about content production, marketing, brands, my experience and career, the Imposter Syndrome was at an all time high! I remember being in those exact seats when speakers would come in, thinking to myself “this is awesome, but there is no way in hell I can get a job like that”. I saw a lot of that look on the faces of the students today. Hoping the discussion we had helped show that a job you’re excited about after Manhattan is not only possible but should be the goal! Needless to say I had a blast speaking to the 8:05a Sports Marketing class (an hour you would have never caught me attending btw), auditorium presentation and small groups! I hadn’t been back on campus since I graduated and this was a hell of a way to do it. Until next time and as always, EMAW!
