A Government Accountability Office report finds colorism, gender stereotypes and biased views of Black girls contribute to disparities in discipline rates. The use of South Carolina taxpayer dollars to fund private school tuition and fees in a newly implemented K-12 voucher program is unconstitutional, the state’s Supreme Court ruled in a 3-2 decision Wednesday. Other services like tutoring, however, can still be covered under the state’s education savings account program.
