In the spirit of #thanksgiving, I would like to thank a few incredible people who helped me to bring a little sunshine to someone else's day... Approximately 200 "someone else's" to be exact :) A couple of months ago, an idea was laid on my heart. I wanted to help bring awareness of the many AMAZING opportunities, organizations, and initiatives that were taking place within the #community. With the goal of enlightening and #empowering folxx to tap into the valuable services and partners that are essentially all around them, I reached out to several professionals, agencies, employers, service providers, schools, etc. to ask for their assistance. The idea was to create somewhat of a #tablingevent and #vendorfair in a preassembled swag bag, full of goodies, swag items, and informational handouts (business cards, brochures, etc.) on the wonderful offerings of these establishments. Rather hosting a full-on event, the super-stuffed goody bags full of surprises and valuable resources would be distributed in pure #oprah fashion... I felt like saying, "you get a bag, you get a bag, and youuuu get a bag!", lol ?? Seeing it as a win-win and an opportunity to increase their #brandawareness, many of those I reached out to readily linked arms with me and provided some pretty cool items to help make the project a success!
