That's a wrap on an eventful week at the International Water Association Water Reclamation Conference in Cape Town, South Africa! ?? We spent the week... ?? Demonstrating the Kohler Cleanse in our joint booth with Amalooloo ?? Learning more about how we can improve sanitation and hygiene for those in the most underserved, environmentally stressed areas. ?? Our innovative handwashing solution, Cleanse, will now be a featured component in Amalooloo's comprehensive sanitation suite, Myloo. Through this collaboration, Cleanse will now be available to individuals throughout 9 countries in Africa. Since 1986, this South African based enterprise has been developing high-quality and sustainable sanitation solutions serving people across Africa. Together, we are committed to bringing safe sanitation and hygiene to even more communities. The future is bold and bright!?? A big congratulations to the exceptional Marquette University students who participated in the 2024 M-Prize Competition!?? The M-Prize Competition, hosted in partnership with Marquette University, is an innovation sprint and pitch competition inspired by Kohler’s annual I-Prize Competition. Over the course of 6-weeks, students from all majors are invited to explore the world of Kohler Co. and develop their design thinking skills, culminating in an in-person competition where teams pitch their innovative ideas to a panel of Kohler and Marquette leaders. It was an incredible experience hosting the students for an innovation workshop and facility tour, working together in weekly mentoring sessions, and seeing their ideas come to life in the amazing final pitches.? ? Innovative ideas wowed the judges at our annual I-Prize Competition Final Pitch Event! ?? ? The I-Prize Competition is a "shark-tank" style, internal pitch competition in which Kohler Co. associates from all over the world are invited to explore proposed challenge statements and pitch their innovations to top leaders for the chance to win incubation funding. The challenge statements change each year and are centered around making a positive environmental and social impact. ? We can't share the ideas yet—but take our word for it—they are BOLD. Today is an important day—World Toilet Day! This day offers us the opportunity to reflect on the work we do at Innovation for Good by Kohler and the significance of having access to a safe latrine. Our two toilets—Rinse and Loope—are helping to close the sanitation gap that exists in countries worldwide. By increasing access to safe sanitation with our products, we can help people around the world live more gracious, healthy, and sustainable lives. After a very eventful October, some meaningful updates are needed! To kick-off the month, Joseph Schmitt and Samantha Meyers represented the Innovation for Good team at the 2024 UNC Water & Health Conference!
