Companies that refuse to understand the identities of customers, employees, and partners are leaving money on the table. ???? One of Nadia Butt, MBA, ABD and I's favorite examples of empathy-based innovation comes from Charlotte Young Bowens of Conscious Gear LLC. #AI is kind of a dud... I'm definitely in the minority on this one. So...because AI algorithms will determine the fate of humanity, let's also go all in on making them fair and inclusive. Check out these highlights from Nadia Butt, MBA, ABD and I's conversation with Maia Hightower, MD, MPH, MBA of Equality AI to learn how we avoid building bias into AI in healthcare.

Not sure **why** this episode has been on my mind so much recently... As we thankfully or unthankfully (depending on your perspective and the outcome) barrel down the home-stretch of the election and we're presented with two very different ideals of #leadership, I keep referring back to this discussion with Amanda Carroll, EdD and Nadia Butt, MBA, ABD on the compelling case for more of what we label "feminine" traits in our leaders. What do you think? Link to the episode in the article ????

Workplace Culture Strategy & Transformation for Greater Engagement, Efficiency, & Inclusion | People and HR Data Expert | Co-Host of The Inclusive Collective Podcast ???

In one week, we'll talk about something so controversial...?? ...so salacious ...so edgy A set of ideas so dangerous that states are banning it, the world's richest men are terrified of it, and leading companies from the 1980s like Ford Motor Company and Caterpillar Inc. are running from it... That's right, we'll be discussing how organizations can use data to create workplaces where people from all backgrounds can see themselves represented and feel that they have opportunities to grow... ...how to create workplaces where people feel included and want to stay... ...and how to use data to create fairness and engagement in people processes. Join me and the Human Resource Association of Central CT (HRACC) as we reveal the Five Secrets of Using Data to Drive #DEI. Link to registration in the comments ???? DM me questions or if there is a topic you MUST hear about in this session!

Culture changemakers - especially those at the intersection of social impact and social change have always experienced pushback - we are, by the very nature of our work truth-tellers, bridge builders, and paradigm shifters. We see a better world and world of work that is equitable and just for all. Organization's commitment and investment in particular priorities around culture, anti-racism, and DEI skyrocketed in 2020 as we were experiencing a global pandemic and social unrest that rose in tensions after George Floyd was murdered in May of 2020. With fast change comes fast pushback, because fast forward to 2023 and 2024, we have experienced a wave in reversals in that commitment in policy and in application. The 2023 Supreme Court ruling to overturn Affirmative Action across university and colleges, companies back pedaling on their commitments, and leaders reverting to "normalcy" all while inequities and disparities in experiences continue in our workplace and beyond. We are so far beyond "business as usual" and Rob Hadley was an incredible resource for our Culture Impact Lab participants this past May - providing a balanced "state of the union" around the impact of the pushback paired with a healthy dose of optimism that the work *does not* stop. And neither will we. Hope to see you at Culture Impact Lab 2025 in May! ================================================= Hey ?? we’re Call for Culture- creators of the Culture Impact Lab - our annual gathering and community focused on mobilizing our collective strength to build a better world and better world of work through community leadership and culture building. It is designed for and unites social impact leaders and culture changemakers (industry and sector agnostic) called to reimagine the role of work in society - advancing collective liberation, connecting to our shared humanity, and progressing a more equitable and just future for all. Every workplace can turn into a social enterprise that has a powerful impact on their communities and beyond, and in this shared space, we tap back into the signals and connections that allow us to advance our work.
