Women’s rising wealth is going to be a gamechanger – at least when it comes to certain sectors of the economy including professional sports, travel, and healthcare. Women will increasingly be key drivers of economic growth, with their prosperity growing the total economic pie, expanding opportunities for everyone on the court. And our data suggests that women are closing the wage gap, with the difference in median annual income growth falling to around 4% at the end of 2024, compared to the 6.5% seen in 2022. However, there’s room for further improvement – the gender gap in the labor force participation rate has dropped but remains significant at 11 percentage points. 50/50 Women on Boards Houston 50/50 Women on Boards Women’s Energy Network Houston

An interesting report for your review
Diverse leadership drives better business outcomes—but progress is too slow. \#GrantThornton's \#WomenInBusiness 2025 report shows women hold 34% of senior leadership roles globally, but at this pace, equal representation won't be reached until 2051. International energy executive with experience in capital projects, finance and asset management, leading a nonprofit foundation - WACGH Global Leader of Influence 2023 - Sustainability and Energy Transition
50/50 Women on Boards Houston leadership committtee had its first gathering of the year. 50/50 Women on Boards is a nonprofit with a mission to accelerate gender balance and diversity on corporate boards. Our research indicates that a board with diverse genders, races, ethnicities, thoughts, expertise and experiences results in increased profitability, productivity and workforce engagement. Through education and advocacy we empower to lead. The leadership committee is formed by sponsor representatives, and individuals that connect the organization lo level resources for our activities. The main event is in November every year, with an in person strategic conversation and coaching, and we also hold events throughout the year to facilitate networking and learning. Our first event was held at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft , where Sarah Darro gave a guided tour of the current exhibit #designingmotherhood. If you haven’t been to HCCC do so, it is a dynamic hub for contemporary craft in the Houston’s museum district , a space where artists can push the boundary of their creativity and a destination to the community to engage with contemporary craft. This exhibit is the first exhibition of its kind to consider the entire arc of human reproduction through a design lens. The energy in the room was amazing, thanks to all that attended!
