When I started as CEO at Honeywell in June 2023, one of my primary goals was to simplify our portfolio. Today, we are taking a big step: separating our Aerospace business. Along with our planned spin-off of Advanced Materials, this move will create three strong, industry-leading companies, each poised for success from day one. This is the result of a year-long, comprehensive portfolio evaluation that I initiated and our Board has been working through, and I’m incredibly proud of all we have done to make this a reality. We have the best team in the industry, and the benefits we anticipate for our customers, our talented #Futureshapers and our shareholders will only strengthen the powerful foundation Honeywell has built over decades of leadership. Two key and interconnected themes at this year’s #WEF25 annual meeting were AI and energy security. Energy is crucial to powering the AI revolution and AI is an essential tool for enhancing energy efficiency and security.?Partnering technological innovations with both traditional and new sources will help the world meet current and future energy demands.?We are continuously collaborating with Honeywell customers to shape?the future by unlocking new digital solutions and?exploring groundbreaking technologies such as predictive analytics, smart grid integration, and renewables.?

How can we leverage technology to ensure energy security in today's world? This week, I have been at #WEF25 in Davos, engaging customers and stakeholders to address this very question. ? AI has been a core focus at this year’s World Economic Forum, with significant interest in its potential to upskill and reskill talent for critical industries. From AI to technologies that enable alternative energy sources, as well as solutions to improve the efficiency of traditional oil and refining processes, it has been a valuable experience to meet with our customers and discuss the technologies they require to achieve their energy security goals. #energysecurity

We're thrilled to share Vioneo has selected our advanced methanol-to-olefin (MTO) technology for their planned European production of fossil feedstock-free plastics. Under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy, Petro Rabigh and Honeywell signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that includes licensing and the *demonstration* of Naphtha-to-Ethane-and-Propane (NEP) technology at the Petro Rabigh refinery. This collaboration aims to optimize the conversion of crude oil into value-added petrochemical products, promote sustainability, and drive innovation within the energy sector, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to advance and enhance the efficiency of petrochemical industries.

Long-term energy security is one of the key challenges that global leaders will address during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025. Leading up to #WEF25, in this article, I shared my perspective on the significant role liquified natural gas (LNG) will play in ensuring energy security, especially with the expected global energy demand increase of over 50% by 2040. #LNG offers a lower carbon intensity alternative and provides essential reliability and consistency. We’re thrilled to announce a strategic collaboration with Power2X to accelerate the supply of sustainable aviation fuel in Europe. Our UOP eFining? methanol-to-jet processing technology will be implemented in Power2X’s eFuels Rotterdam project – a large-scale production and storage hub for for sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) and synthetic, ultra-low carbon fuels. The Rotterdam production facility will have the capacity to produce more than 250,000 tonnes per year of eSAF and our technology will play a central role in production.
