A newly released, comprehensive study by MissionCare Collective (myCNAjobs, CoachUp Care, MissionCare) on the state of direct care workers reveals some startling stats: 15% of caregivers lack health insurance. 55% of caregivers rely on public assistance, with 32% dependent on Medicaid. 21% of caregivers report poor mental health, leaving them with heightened vulnerability to anxiety and depression. ? The newly formed NAHC-NHPCO Alliance announced today that Dr. Steve Landers will be the organization's inaugural CEO. He's to start his new position within the next few weeks, Alliance officials said. Before his new role leading the nation's foremost home care advocacy group, Landers held multiple leadership positions in the at-home care space, including Director of Home Care at the Cleveland Clinic and President and CEO of the Visiting Nurses Association Health Group, Inc.
