Tomoko Suzuki, Corporate Chief Researcher at Hitachi, joined a seminar panel on the ‘The Significance of “Transition” to Achieve Net-Zero’ this week at #COP29, to discuss actionable pathways to a sustainable future. The session explored critical strategies for Green Transformation, with a focus on technology and policy innovations that enable a smooth transition to clean energy across diverse industrial and social landscapes. Tomoko Suzuki highlighted the importance of new energy carriers, such as hydrogen, for realizing a carbon-neutral society while introducing 3 areas Hitachi is currently developing technologies in: hydrogen production, hydrogen transportation, and multi-grid management able to integrate electricity and hydrogen/gas grids.
