Last Friday, I toured the HALO Wind Tunnel! This was such an amazing experience, and it was interesting to see more of the R&D side of Honda. I am midway though my summer co-op in Production Engineering, and am looking forward to continued learning and experience in the automotive industry.

On Friday, May 3, the team at HALO had the opportunity to host 30 individuals as part of COSI's week long Science Festival. Their experience included a tour of the facility followed by an aerodynamic challenge. The group was divided into three teams. Each team worked together to determine which three parts they wanted to apply to the test vehicle to reduce it's aerodynamic drag. Each team's test plan was submitted, and while the tests were running, participants were educated on the variables that influence drag and how the smallest changes can make a significant impact. The event was a huge success! Everyone walked away with a better understanding of the impact that various parts have on the drag on their vehicle. Thank you COSI and for all who attended. The journey is been incredibly, full of great experiences, knowledge and challenges from the Product Engineering, Plastics, Paint and Manufacturing Engineering department. At American Honda Motor Company, Inc. Now I’m in the middle of my EDP (Engineering Development Program) rotations and I’m very excited to share some of my great experiences. Thanks to HALO Wind Tunnel for the great tour and opportunity to work there this week, was an absolute pleasure. I hope have more exposure and work in more excited projects in the near future.
