Announcing OLMo 2 32B: the first fully-open model to beat GPT 3.5 & GPT-4o mini on a suite of popular, multi-skill benchmarks. Comparable to best open-weight models, but a fraction of training compute. When you have a good recipe, ? magical things happen when you scale it up! OLMo is a fully open model: we release all artifacts. Training code, pre- & post-train data, model weights, and a recipe on how to reproduce it yourself. AI researchers & devs can tweak any component ??making research projects and applications that need full control possible! For pretraining, we created a new trainer called OLMo-core! v2 landed today, and it is a significant improvement over our previous library: ? more efficient, ?? better support for larger models, ?? more training paradigms, and ??? modalities beyond text https://lnkd.in/gd9kYnF6 OLMo 2 32B was trained on 1024 GPUs in Google’s Cloud Infrastructure (Google Cloud and Google Public Sector).
