关于我们
Getting It Right?focuses on space industry collaboration for mission success by sharing lessons learned, best practices, and engineering advances in response to the nation’s toughest challenges. It is published by the Aerospace Corporate Chief Engineer's Office. ——— The Aerospace Corporation has provided independent technical and scientific research, development, and advisory services to national-security space programs since 1960. We operate a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) for the United States Air Force and the National Reconnaissance Office and support all national-security space programs. We also apply more than 40 years of experience with space systems to projects for civil agencies like NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, commercial companies, universities, and some international organizations in the national interest. From our inception, our highly skilled technical people have focused on ensuring the success of every mission and developing the most effective and economic space-related hardware and software in the world. Our insight and involvement in space programs has significantly reduced the risk of launch failure and increased both satellite endurance and performance. Avoiding a single catastrophic failure resulting in the loss of operational capabilities can save the government more than three times the total annual Aerospace FFRDC budget. We don't manufacture anything. Our greatest asset is the technical expertise of our people. Our involvement spans all facets of space systems: including systems engineering, testing, analysis, and development; acquisition support; launch readiness and certification; anomaly resolution; and the application of new technologies for existing and next-generation space systems. Our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities are staffed by some of the leading scientists in the world.

New Tool for Mission Assurance from Aerospace The Aerospace Corporation is shaping the future by developing new strategic approaches to balance risk with mission needs across the space domain. Aerospace’s?Mission Assurance Baseline (MAB) matrix provides a framework for tailoring mission assurance that leverages industry crowdsourcing to advance new, dynamic approaches to risk management while delivering on Enterprise Mission Success.?While this matrix provides more than 4,000 data points to ensure mission success for a spacecraft, it is also flexible enough to allow users to focus their approach.?The matrix will gather user feedback and lessons learned from across the industry, which will be used to increase collaboration and knowledge sharing.? #GettingitRight #TheAerospaceCorporation #MissionAssuranceBaseline #space #engineering #aerospace

"We hear every day that space is changing. That we need to move faster. Accept more risk. Be agile. Adapt to proliferated and hybrid architectures. Take a different approach to mission assurance. But what does all this actually mean, and how are you translating it into daily life? And how's that going for you?" Call for papers and registration is open for: 2024 Adapting Mission Assurance Workshop A workshop co-sponsored by the Aerospace Corporation and NASA Ames Research Center Mountain View, CA November 13 – 14, 2024 Note: online and limited in-person attendance

Curiosity, the Mars Rover that landed on the red planet 12 years ago today, is still working and finding interesting things that teach us more about our solar system, our universe, and our ability to explore beyond our proverbial backyard. Recently, in a move that is like many in history,?Curiosity?drove over a?rock and accidentally cracked it. Making lemonade out of lemons, looking into the rock revealed elemental sulfur, not found before. Note that this was on Martian day 4,208. A lesson to keep searching and learning, just like it's the first day you landed in a place. #GettingitRight #TheAerospaceCorporation #NASA #Curiosity #space?#engineering?#aerospace #MarsRover

"Data collection is a best practice and a critical element for model development and analogy comparison. It allows projects to build a realistic baseline and crosscheck performance to plan. It is also an important contribution to the success of future missions, who will rely on accurate historical data to build their own realistic and accurate baseline." #GettingItRight #theaerospacecorporation #space #engineering #aerospace #costanalysis #dataanalysis
