Come see the GCE on November 20th from 9:30am - 3:00pm at the School of Mining & Mineral Resources' annual career exploration event: Mines for Limitless Minds.
What is Mines for Limitless Minds?
Mines for Limitless Minds is an outdoor festival that brings the world of mining and minerals directly to University of Arizona students. Here they’ll learn what mineral resources are, how we use them every day, and how they are acquired. They’ll also discover how they can be a part of this exciting field! With numerous education and career pathways on full display, there’s something for everyone at Mines for Limitless Minds!
What’s on display?
Everything from the latest technology and equipment, to innovations in sustainability, to what it’s like to explore the far corners of the earth (and beyond!). In addition to dozens of exhibitors, the event will feature a haul-truck simulator, virtual reality mine tour, an electric vehicle, space mining exhibit, drones and robotics, plants that mine, a student life showcase, and career center with tips for winning resumes and successful interviews!
Who can participate?
Exploration and mining companies, consultancies, suppliers, regulators, professional societies, clubs and educators – basically anyone who can demonstrate to young people how they can be a part of this important field (and why they should!) – are encouraged to participate. See registration for more information: https://lnkd.in/gtbvUa6r
Who is the target audience?
The event is held on the main drag of the beautiful University of Arizona campus. The event is open to the more than 45,000 University of Arizona students, but the primary audience is undergraduate and graduate students. Secondary audiences are university faculty and staff and curious members of the general public.
