I am very proud to have been invited to speak about GenAI, Art and Creativity at the 16th Edition of Stereopsia - The Premier Avant-Garde XR Event In Europe, which will be held at the Maison De La Poste in Brussels, Belgium, on 9-10-11 December 2024. It is the first time I participate in this event (I have always wanted to go!) and I am very excited ?? to meet all the speakers who will make these three days unique in the international panorama of the XR world. I am also happy to be able to present my dynamics artworks ??? on the stage of such an important city as Brussels, the center of the discussions on the EU AI Act and where the European Office for Artificial Intelligence is located (the first in the world created to regulate AI). A really thank you to Alexandra GERARD and Urszula Gleisner for getting in touch with me in such a professional way (and courting me since last year!!!??) and all the organization of Stereopsia for the invitation. I am really happy ?? to meet important professionals such as Michel Reilhac, Valentino Megale, PhD ?? The article talks about a Deep Learning AI Model that Identifies Breast Cancer Spread without Surgery (…) A new deep learning model could reduce the need for surgery when diagnosing whether cancer cells are spreading, including to nearby lymph nodes—also known as metastasis. Developed by researchers from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the AI tool analyzes time-series MRIs and clinical data to identify metastasis, providing crucial, noninvasive support for doctors in treatment planning. The advancement could lead to more timely and accurate cancer assessments, helping many patients avoid unnecessary surgery and improve outcomes. (…) You can find it at this link: https://lnkd.in/dnm9RHba —————————————————— ????CURIOSITY: The images below are made with Midjourney and have challenged the AI software since 2022, trying to guide the generation of images of women with breast cancer, in the correct size. MidJourney failed to generate images without anatomical errors or delimiting the disease to breast cancer. The cancer was the target of the image. These women, in addition to having torn bodies, have a particular beauty in their faces as if they were photo models. So the BIAS of the AI software in this case is twofold: 1?? The first is not knowing how to delimit a disease as a Breast Cancer, to the affected area (for the AI software the whole body has cancer, but it is not like that). 2?? The second is creating images of very beautiful women, not at all affected by the disease. (We have to ask what data the Midjourney dataset implemented. The photos of models are certainly superior to those of women with breast cancer). I have been working in multimedia management (audio and video) for 13 years and in the last 6 years I have followed the development of the audiobook sector for all the brands of the publishing house I work for in Italy. I am the contact person for companies like Audible, Storytel, Google, for agencies, actors and narrators of audiobooks... and many other things. In addition to this, I deal with new technologies. I have an important international network of acquaintances, I am the organizer of the AWE Nite Florence for the AWE community, a contact for Artivive for Italy, Women in AI Lead for Italy, and I have deepened my knowledge in the technological sector since 2019 (XR, AR, VR world). I am an AI speaker and I know the evolution of AI. I am a community manager and I have worked in the marketing sector for many years. Characteristic=shared). However, it seems that in a country like Italy and in particular in Florence, these innovative digital skills are not the basis of corporate investments. This makes my professionalism not classifiable in a role in this territory. Due to a corporate reorganization, my role will no longer exist. You all know how important digitalization is and how important a person with 360-degree competence in the technological sector (from #html to #AI) who can indicate which path to take to innovate corporate dynamics, who knows both the production and the organization and management of multimedia materials. I speak English and French. And I need to #change #jobs, so as not to lose all the skills I have acquired in recent years. Even though I am well aware of the hiring dynamics in big companies and their long hiring times, I am launching an appeal that sees me available to start working immediately in other companies that put innovation at the forefront. I also have a good look, but I could be ugly and my skills would not change a single millimeter. An interesting McKinsey & Company Report on #ResponsibleAI led me to analyze a graph of the development of laws regarding GenAI “Major governments around the world have enacted or proposed legislation to help regulate the safe and transparent use of AI” in USA, EU, Canada, Japan, China, Australia. The source of the report is FAIRLY AI (AI Governance for everyone). Browsing their site, I came across an interesting page of their Blog “???????????? ???? ???????????????????? ??????????????” of October 22, 2024. The map you find on their site is interactive and Fairly AI built this map to track AI regulations across the world (including Data and Privacy regulations impacting AI). In addition to the map, there is also the list of regulations cited in list form. Tell me you’re wondering, and I’ll tell you, what AI provider LinkedIn is using to train its dataset! (At the end of the post… First I have to tell you something else…) I recently received an email from LinkedIn announcing important changes to their privacy policy and the use of AI on the platform. This updates to the License Agreement, it will go into effect on November 20, 2024. We spent months contributing and improving LinkedIn’s algorithms, leading to us being elected as “Top Voice.” LinkedIn rewarded us with a yellow label, recognizing our contributions to the platform, although the label was later removed without further explanation. What’s particularly interesting in this update is that there is now a “button”??in your Privacy Settings that allows you to decide whether to let LinkedIn use your information to train its AI. ?? “AI ON” or ?? “AI OFF”? Will you allow LinkedIn to use your information for AI training or not? They declared: (…) At the moment LinkedIn do not currently train content-generating AI models on data from members located in the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, or Hong Kong.
