Front Porch Community Services celebrates author Anabella Denisoff, who will be sharing her braille book for children in both English and Spanish. Anabella was able to realize this dream through a Well Connected Espa?ol group facilitated by Wish of a Lifetime, and will be hosting a reading at San Francisco Public Library on Sunday, 3/16. Meet Katherine and Rashawn, our latest home sharing match in Contra Costa County! ? ??? Katherine had a vacant ADU on her property and wanted to supplement her income.? ??? Rashawn was looking for a place to gain independence and be closer to work. ? Rashawn initially applied to Home Match in the County of Marin, but after seeing Katherine’s property in Contra Costa County, he immediately knew it was the place for him. Katherine, meanwhile, was looking for a match that she felt she could communicate well with, and found that in Rashawn. ? ??? This LeadingAge California sponsored bill seeks to expand home sharing opportunities across California in an effort to prevent homelessness among older adults. Crafted with our partners at Front Porch Communities & Services, this bill makes simple but effective changes to encourage more Californians to put their extra bedrooms into home sharing programs.
