Leveraging LinkedIn for Franchise Growth LinkedIn is more than a networking platform—it's a powerful tool for franchise recruitment. By targeting potential candidates through curated databases, lookalike audiences, and paid campaigns, franchisors can connect with the right prospects efficiently. Event-based marketing, like LinkedIn Live sessions, takes it a step further. These events create engagement, provide valuable insights, and generate qualified leads—complete with attendee lists for follow-up. LinkedIn: A Place to Connect, Not Close Doors Today, I encountered an auto-reply message from a C-Suite executive with over 4,500 followers on LinkedIn. It essentially said, “I don’t respond to messages here. Email me if it’s important.” Now, I understand the intent...it’s about managing time efficiently. However to me, this approach misses the point of why LinkedIn exists in the first place. This isn’t just another email inbox it’s a professional platform designed for engagement, connection, and conversations that wouldn’t happen anywhere else. Imagine attending a networking event and telling people, “I’m here, but don’t talk to me...email me instead.” It doesn’t feel right, does it? Here’s Why This Matters: 1. LinkedIn is about being tuned-in and aware. If you’re here, let people connect with you genuinely. 2. Engagement builds opportunity. You can’t foster relationships by redirecting them elsewhere. 3. Your audience deserves respect. Whether you have 10 followers or 10,000, people reach out because they see value in you. Let’s honor that. Auto-replies have their place, but on LinkedIn, they should guide the conversations and not shut them down. So let’s take stock on how we interact & present ourselves and embrace the power of this platform to drive real, meaningful connections. What are your thoughts on auto-replies like this one? Helpful or counterproductive?

Expectations vs. Reality:The Saga of Restroom Cleaning and Gen Z Workers Once upon a time…no, seriously. In the restaurant and hospitality industry, there’s an eternal struggle that every manager knows all too well: hiring front-line workers. And just when you think you’ve won the battle by hiring someone, the next one begins. You’ve got the new recruit, a member of Generation Z, with their fresh-faced enthusiasm, ready to contribute to your bustling establishment. Great! What could possibly go wrong? Picture this. It’s a perfect world: your newly hired employees understand what’s expected of them from day one. They breeze through the onboarding process and, after some initial training, they morph into responsible, reliable, and self-motivated team players. They seamlessly become an integral part of your restaurant family, taking every task in stride, performing impeccably, and doing it all with a smile.
