Our Ohio State financial planning students are excited about attending the excellent Schwab IMPACT Conference in San Francisco this week: Braden Riehl, Daniel Buehrer, Ryan Arp, Micah Lucas, and faculty mentor Dr. Drew Hanks. We are so grateful to Sherri Trombley and Mary Kate Prebil and their wonderful team for inviting Ohio State again this year, the generous financial support, and the excellent organization! It is such a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with employers nation-wide and to learn from the leaders of our industry! #FutureRIAs #SchwabIMPACT #OhioStatefinancialplanning

???? ?????? ??????, ???????? ?????????? Dreams really do come true ?? I was named the recipient of the InvestmentNews Women to Watch Rising Star Award sponsored by SEI last week and I’m still processing the emotions. It’s an incredible honor to be recognized among the most influential women in the finance industry—a moment I never imagined when I first started. ?? What made it even more special was having my grandmother by my side. As we flew to New York, she told me, “You were born a winner, no matter the outcome of the award.” Her humility and the pride she instilled in me are things I carry every single day. ?? FPA NexGen loves connecting with students and teaching them about the fulfilling careers they can develop in financial planning. It starts with the education and exposure they receive from undergraduate and graduate programs, Recently we spoke with Caezilia Loibl of the financial planning program at Ohio State about the benefits of having a local FPA NexGen chapter: "Having a FPA NexGen chapter near Ohio State provides financial planning students with the opportunity to network with young professionals in an informal way, to obtain career advice, and to learn about everyday work with clients and in financial planning firms.? ? The Ohio State University financial planning program has seen benefits from our local FPA NexGen chapter in many ways. The local FPA NexGen chapter provides guest speakers for financial planning courses, collaborates on supporting our Student FPA, and supports semester events, such as expert panels and bus stop tours. ? In our Spring 2024 "Bus Stop Tour", a group of financial planning students and faculty visited the firm and toured the offices of a NexGen leader. It allowed students a glimpse into the workplace and excellent opportunities for networking. In addition, a NexGen member is co-advising our Student FPA. "

???? FPA NexGen Local Leader Shout Out???? As a Financial Planner, Easton Price, CFP?, CDFA? works with his clients to develop and maintain the various facets of their dynamic financial life. Easton completed his undergraduate degree in his home state of Utah in Personal Financial Planning at Utah Valley University. He is a Certified Financial Planner? professional as well as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst?. He takes a methodical approach to resolving client concerns and lives up to his fiduciary standards putting his clients’ needs first, always. Along with serving his clients, Easton enjoys serving community members through the pro bono and NexGen committees sponsored by the Financial Planning Association of Orange County as well as at his church. In his opinion, the FPA NexGen community is very important to a successful career. There's an age gap at RIA firms across the country between Senior and Junior Advisors. As these senior advisors are retiring, there is a wealth of opportunity for young, ambitious planners. The NexGen community provides a platform for fellow nexgeners to connect, collaborate, and commiserate! Forming these connections early on will only boost the industry as the up-and-coming advisors make their way to center stage. It's a community of learners seeking to become the best versions of themselves. Easton aims to continue growing his local chapter's NexGen presence creating a place where young advisors want to be. He also looks forward to serving as President-Elect of FPAOC in preparation for being the President in 2026. Easton coaches boys High School basketball at the Freshman level at Huntington Beach.
