Our celebration of International Women's Month continues with a few of our incredible women behind the wheel and engines. Bailey Campbell and Tatiana Calderón, may be new to the Ford Performance driver lineup, but they're anything but new to motorsports. Both in their breakout seasons, they have already been busy blazing trails in their series and pulling up seats at the table. Bailey and Tatiana share a deep passion for motorsports, having developed their love for racing at a young age—Bailey through riding Arizona’s trails and Tatiana through go-karting with her sister. Both women embody perseverance and resilience, pushing through challenges with unwavering determination. Bailey’s mindset of never staying down and Tatiana’s focus on patience and perseverance reflect the drive they carry on and off the track. Bailey’s advice to women looking to make an impact? ??“Don’t be afraid to learn. Don’t be afraid to ask those questions that might make you feel dumb. I thank my younger self everyday for the confidence to ask those questions, especially in a fabrication shop with a bunch of guys, because it showed I was there to learn something for myself.” Tatiana's advice to women looking to make an impact? ??“If you have a genuine passion for motorsport, there’s no reason not to pursue a career in it. For aspiring race car drivers, I would suggest starting with karting or e-sports.” Karla M. Perez Dominguez and Lauren Citkowski are Sportscar engineers who play key roles on the GT4 team. Karla’s passion for engineering grew from witnessing how real-time decisions impact a car’s performance, while Lauren’s curiosity for dismantling and reassembling things led her down the path of engineering. Both women’s inquisitive nature naturally evolved into successful careers in the field. Their advice to women looking to make an impact? ??Be confident in your abilities and don’t be afraid to speak up and share your ideas. Seek out allies who will champion your growth. Regardless of the surrounding demographics, you still belong here. And remember that your presence helps pave the way for future generations of women in the industry.

This #InternationalWomensMonth, we’re spotlighting the trailblazing women who have helped shape Ford Performance—including the legendary Lyn St. James. Lyn never asked for permission. She didn’t wait for a seat at the table—she carved her own. In a sport not built for women, she refused to be an exception. Instead, she became a force—a racer, mentor, and architect of change. Her journey with Ford began in 1980, securing support to drive a Ford-backed Mustang in IMSA’s Kelly American Challenge. What followed was a career of breaking barriers—becoming the only woman to win an IMSA GT race solo, holding 21 closed-circuit speed records, and claiming victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. But Lyn’s impact extends beyond the track. She’s dedicated her career to paving the way for future generations, ensuring that women not only compete in motorsports but thrive in it. “There’s still work to be done,” she says. “And I’m going to keep pushing until the next generation doesn’t have to fight the same battles I did.” Her advice to women looking to make an impact? ?? “Stop trying to prove yourself. Start improving yourself. Keep getting better—everything else will fall into place.” Lyn’s legacy is more than records and trophies—it’s a movement. She built a path where none existed. Now, she’s passing the keys to the next generation with a challenge: Follow it. Expand it. Or carve your own. Because in racing, in life, and in breaking barriers—the only way forward is full throttle.

“We’re not just making powertrains here. We’re making history.” Ford’s long-awaited return to Formula 1 is still a year away, but preparation is a top priority. With over a century of manufacturing expertise, the team is producing critical power unit components, including the internal combustion engine and hybrid system. Leveraging aerospace-inspired testing methods, the team is rapidly developing 3D-printed components ahead of the 2026 on-track F1 debut. And it’s a true factory-wide effort. “We’re pulling in all of these Ford teams with all of these areas of expertise to help in the program,” said Christian Hertrich, Ford Performance Motorsports Powertrain Manager. “It’s not just the motorsport group working on this. It’s amazing to see how many different areas of the company have already been involved.” These advanced testing protocols are now being implemented company-wide and the same meticulous testing is trickling down to Ford’s consumer vehicle development. Now, Ford is looking to expand these cutting-edge quality control processes across its entire lineup, further enhancing vehicle reliability. #FordReturns #RedBullFordPowertrains
