RB Consulting Inc. is pleased to announce the $5.6 million task order award on SeaPort NxG supporting The Navy's Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Healthcare Business and Administration Department (NlOCl) Force Medical Readiness (NlOD). RBCI will provide executive level Program Management Support for this mission by providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) with multiple functional areas. The functional areas include Healthcare Business, Readiness missions, DoDNA Programs, Patient Administration, Health Information Management HIPAA and Privacy, Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES), Limited Duty (LIMDU), Temporary Disability R List (TDRL), Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS), and the Exceptional Family Member Program.?

Today marks the end of an incredible era—Brad Houston's last day at the Department of Veterans Affairs after more than 37 years of combined military and federal service. As both his wife and long-time colleague, I couldn’t be prouder of everything he’s accomplished and the lasting impact he’s made. Brad ended his career as the DCIO for Business Outcomes at VA, where he pushed and improved OIT’s focus on delivering the Veteran-facing outcomes that matter most. In this role, he’s worked across the entire VA to make sure the most urgent needs—whether in claims processing, health benefits or final services – rose to the top of the priority list. Brad has led with a rare combination of vision and heart. Before this, he spearheaded the digital transformation of VBA, where his work was recognized with the Presidential Meritorious Service Award. His leadership transformed VBA to a digital process and eliminated six billion pieces of paper, transforming how Veterans' claims are processed - moving claims establishment and evidence handling from days or weeks to just four hours. This transformation sped up claims, improved accuracy, and most importantly, made a real difference for Veterans and their families – IN FACT over 15 million claims were processed without paper using Brad’s modernization. Brad’s career spans a remarkable journey - from serving with the Army’s 3d Armored Cav during Desert Storm as a Vulcan Cannon crewmember to federal service starting as a GS2 to holding key SES leadership positions across the VA. His service to Veterans has always been personal, and his dedication unwavering. While today we close this chapter, the legacy of Brad’s work will continue to benefit Veterans for years to come. I know he’ll bring the same passion, integrity, and drive to whatever comes next. Please join me in thanking my amazing husband for all that he has accomplished, led and delivered at the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
