关于我们

In the heart of Arizona in the Phoenix metropolitan area, Falcon Field (FFZ) is a general aviation reliever airport owned and operated by the City of Mesa, the 36th largest city in the U.S. Located in northeast Mesa, Falcon Field is convenient to three major freeways and is minutes from hotels and luxury resorts, Major League Baseball Spring Training, outdoor recreation, entertainment, shopping, Arizona State University, and other metro area cities. The airport is home to more than 115 businesses, over 800 based aircraft, and is served by a FAA air traffic control tower. Parcels may be combined, or smaller portions of some parcels may be leased, based on tenant requirements. In addition to on-airport opportunities, approximately 63+ acres of City-owned land known as the Falcon Tech Center is available for off-airport/non-aviation-related activities acting as a strategic location for technology companies. The Falcon Tech Center is located on Greenfield Road immediately adjacent to Falcon Field Airport, The Boeing Company, MD Helicopters, and Amazon.

  • The reconstruction of a portion of the Anzio Ramp is complete! It's a significant upgrade that enhances the airport's infrastructure and meets current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards. The project was funded by the Arizona Department of Transportation through an Airport Development Reimbursable Grant Agreement. The Anzio Ramp was initially constructed in 1992, named after the Battle of Anzio during World War II. This was the first major reconstruction of the pavement on this apron. At the time of reconstruction, the ramp's Pavement Condition Index score was 51, indicating poor condition As a result of this project, one new aircraft tie-down position has been created, with plans for two additional tie-down positions to be constructed in the future. The public use ramp also serves several businesses at the airport, including Rango Inc., Allen Air 2, LLC, and Together at the Landing. The reopening of the Anzio Ramp is expected to enhance operational efficiency and support the continued growth of Falcon Field Airport and its associated businesses. • The Arizona Aviation Historical Group proudly presented Falcon Field Airport with a replica plaque honoring the more than 2,300 Royal Air Force (RAF) cadets who trained as pilots during World War II. The plaque, now displayed in the Airport's terminal lobby, commemorates the 27 courses held at No. 4 British Flying Training School from 1941 to 1945. In part it reads, “They will rise on wings like eagles.” Crafted from wood salvaged from one of the airport's WWII hangars, which was damaged in last year's monsoon storm, the plaque was made by Hawkeye Engraving, a long-time Mesa business. Earlier this year, the original plaque was unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum in England, alongside memorials for No. 1 and No. 5 British Flying Training Schools. The October 19 presentation was during the 2024 Falcon Field Day, a gathering of descendants and one 99-year-old pilot from No. 4 British Flying Training School. • City officials celebrated the successful completion of Falcon Field Airport's new Taxiway G. It's a major addition that will streamline routing of aircraft from the north runway to southern airport facilities. The primary objective is to reduce the amount of time aircraft spend on the airport's runway, thus minimizing delays and reducing fuel consumption. This project is an integral part of Falcon Field's Capital Improvement Program and aligns with the Airport's Master Plan, which was approved by the Mesa City Council in July 2019. The new taxiway will significantly accommodate the airport's anticipated growth. Full news release ?? https://lnkd.in/gNhnvv3j
