We are thrilled to announce Kate Lightfoot as the new Baton Rouge Complex Chemical Plant Manager, effective March 1, 2025! Kate, originally from Arkansas, holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from University of Houston-Clear Lake. She began her career with ExxonMobil in 2002 and has held various impactful roles, including making history as the first female Site Manager at Baytown in 2018. Kate was named the site manager at the Baytown Olefins Plant in 2021. In 2023, Kate was appointed Supply Chain Global Marine Manager. Now, she brings her wealth of experience to Baton Rouge. "I am honored to become the first female plant manager at the Baton Rouge Chemical Plant. I look forward to bringing my years of experience and leadership to a site that produces so many of the products we rely on daily," said Lightfoot. Kate was instrumental in creating the Women United chapter at the United Way of Greater Baytown Area and Chambers County. She also served as Vice Chair for the East Harris County Manufacturers Association and was an active member of the Texas Chemical Council board of directors. Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and outdoor activities.

This celebration capped off an impactful month including reading at YWCA childcare centers, judging the Science Fair at St. Francis Xavier Elementary School, and packing food boxes at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
