Operator exposure studies play a huge role in protecting the health and safety of workers. Agricultural operators are often exposed to various hazardous substances and conditions. These studies are designed to assess the level of exposure and the potential risks to the operator’s health. EAS Group offers plant metabolism studies with radiolabelled test items at dedicated sites around the globe. Radiolabelling is necessary when new active ingredients are going through the registration process. The labelled active ingredient is applied in strictly controlled glasshouses to dedicated, confined areas on plants in line with the proposed use pattern and application. The labelled test items are tracked throughout the growth of the plant until the harvest samples are taken to assess the mechanism and route of substance degradation and the risks these may pose for human health. ?
