We've just returned from a fantastic two days at our annual team offsite. It was a great opportunity for colleagues from the UK, Sweden, France, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Ireland to come together and connect as one team. We were also joined by some of our US/New York contingent - thank you for making the journey over! Beyond that, we also had the chance to strategise collaboratively as we look ahead to what’s in store for Euclid in 2025 and beyond. We are excited to take the energy and insights from this offsite into the new year. Thank you to The Retreat in Elcot Park for hosting us and to all those from our team that were involved in organising such a brilliant trip.

This month we've welcomed three new Analysts to our EMEA team! Joining our Dublin office are Aoife Purewal and Daniel J. Browne whilst Jason Sutton will be based in our London team. Prior to joining Euclid, Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Business from Trinity College Dublin and completed finance internships with Citigroup and a local government agency. Aoife graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Trinity College Dublin. During her studies she spent a?semester abroad at the University of Padua in Italy. Prior to joining Euclid, Aoife completed internships in corporate and public interest law. Jason obtained a Bachelor of Economics at The University of York. Prior to joining Euclid, Jason spent a year within the Valuations & Modelling team at an international accountancy firm. Jason focused on renewable infrastructure portfolio valuations, and tax valuations relating to management incentive schemes. Welcome Danny, Aoife and Jason!

We're proud to present our?second Global?Warranty and Indemnity (W&I)?Insurance Claims Study.?This report analyses 6,244 policies placed, 1,373 claims received and almost $830 million in total payments made from July 2016 through June 30, 2024. It identifies insights that will be of interest to anyone who is involved in M&A or transactional liability insurance. While?EMEA and North America might share similar claim subject?matters, our data shows some key differences such as the number of Tax claims received. Tax claims comprised 38% of all EMEA claims, more than double?the?proportion in North America. We are delighted to welcome the arrival of Tom Creasy to the Euclid Transactional team as our Business Intelligence Vice President. Tom is responsible for actuarial, data and analytics. He has over ten years of experience in analytical roles in the insurance sector across the UK and US markets. He started his career in a pricing role at Hiscox UK before moving into management consulting at Alvarez & Marsal where he delivered performance improvement services for clients in the insurance sector. He then spent six years at Hiscox USA where he led analytics and actuarial teams, with a focus on improving decision making through data. Tom graduated from University of Warwick with a BSc in Mathematics and is an exam-qualified actuary with the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries. In his spare time, Tom enjoys live music, watching his beloved Norwich City and playing fantasy soccer.
