?? A fascinating read for your #weekend! Neurodegeneration: Microglia: Nf-Kappab Signaling Pathways ? by Dr. Aditya Singh, Dr. Vaseem Ansari, Dr.Tarique Mahmood, Dr. Farogh Ahsan, and Rufaida Wasim ?? Studies in #neuropathology and #neuroradiology show that #neuroinflammation in some #neurodegenerative illnesses may be discernible years before there is a major loss of #neurons and bacterial infections that cause widespread #inflammation. ?? Microglia is cells of mesodermal/mesenchymal origin that migrate into the central nervous system (CNS) to form resident #macrophages inside the special brain microenvironment ?? As controllers of synaptic activities and phagocytosis of developing neurons, they serve a critical role in the healthy #brain and have significant effects on synaptic plasticity and adult #neurogenesis. ? ??Read on our website today: https://lnkd.in/dN9KhGep ? #Microglia #CentralNervousSystem

?? A great #OpenAccess?read for your #weekend! Comparative Study of Recombinant Human Erythropoietin (rhEPO) Products on CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) Patients ? by Jonny Kuspuji Dwitanto, Nova Angginy, and Widodo Sutandar ?? This study was conducted to evaluate whether the efficacy and safety profile of recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) manufactured by Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd was similar to biological products approved by the drug safety regulatory authority. ?? People with #CKD often also suffer from anemia complications caused by a decrease in kidney function, #rhEPO has been used successfully to correct the anemia of chronic renal failure for more than 12 years. ? ?? This study proves that the efficacy indicated by the change instability of hemoglobin?and safety indicated by adverse event incidence of Epodion and the reference product on chronic kidney disease were similar. ? ??Read the full article on our website today: https://lnkd.in/eCYJQfSQ ? #RecombinantHumanErythropoietin #ChronicKidneyDisease

?? A great Review article for the weekend: Repurposing Drugs: An Empowering Approach to Drug Discovery and Development by Dr. Sahil Kumar Nautiyal, MD?and Vandana Roy ?? This Review looks into #DrugDiscovery efforts and the idea that drug repurposing can be a time-saving and lower-cost method for expanding options for illnesses without many available treatment options. ?? The article aims to present the evolution, benefits and drawbacks including current approaches, key players and the legal and regulatory hurdles in the field of drug #repurposing. The vast quantities of available data secured in multiple drug #databases, assisting in drug repurposing is also discussed. ?? Read the full article on our website: https://lnkd.in/gwDWhqZQ

?? A fascinating?#OpenAccess?read! Effects of Chronic Oral Administration of Midazolam on Memory and Circadian Rhythms in Rats ? by Helen M. Murphy, Anastasiya Kalinina, and Cyrilla H. Wideman ? ?? This study examines the effects of chronic oral administration of midazolam, a benzodiazepine, on memory and circadian rhythms in female rats. ? ?? The findings revealed that while spatial working memory remained unaffected, procedural memory was impaired in the midazolam treated rats, indicative of a consolidation or retrieval problem. Additionally, a phase-shift was noted in experimental animals possibly indicating that time of day of drug administration is important. ? ??Read the full article today: https://lnkd.in/dcfA8DZA ? #Benzodiazepines

?? A great Monday read: Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor Induced Proteinuria – A Review by J S. Gayathri, S. Swathi Krishna, M. P. Rakesh ?? Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are drugs that interfere with protein kinases? signal transduction pathways through an array of inhibitory mechanisms and are frequently employed as anti-neoplastic agents in the treatment of colon, breast, kidney, and lung #cancers. However, TKIs can lead to the development of proteinuria in some patients. This paper reviews the #mechanism of action of TKIs, the pathophysiological mechanism of TKI-induced proteinuria, and its management. ?? ?? A great weekend read! "Synthesis and Characterization of Acacia-Stabilized Doxorubicin-Loaded Gold Nanoparticles for Breast Cancer Therapy" by Laxmi Devi,?Poonam Kushwaha,?Tarique Mahmood Ansari,?Amit Rao and?Ashish Kumar ?? This study reports the successful development of #doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX)-loaded #colloidal #gold #nanoparticles stabilized with acacia gum (AG). In vitro drug-release studies suggest an enhanced #therapeutic efficacy in acidic tumor environments. Cytotoxicity measurements in human breast cancer cells indicated enhanced efficacy in targeting #cancer cells, suggesting that adsorbing DOX on the surface of gold nanoparticles can improve drug delivery and effectiveness. ??
