If you work with Incident Management Teams (IMT's), Situation Units, and/or Public Safety UAS Teams, then this is a use case example that you should be aware of ...
EMPS, CEM?, Executive Director @ AIRT, Drones/AAM For Good, Founder and President @ Airborne Response
This is a great example from the National Park Service demonstrating how UAS teams can bolster situational awareness for Incident Management Teams. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the National Park Service Eastern Incident Management Team (EIMT) deployed to North Carolina. Once the team was mobilized and on location, the EIMT requested a small Uncrewed Aerial System (sUAS) module to gather information quickly and safely related to damage incurred at the park. #uas #nps #imt #tamingdisaster #drones

Exciting #DronesForGoodTeam News! I’m thrilled to share a video from the @Unmanned Pilots Association for Safety and Standards (https://lnkd.in/ePH4jtZV) and congratulate Drones For Good Team member Michelle Truman on their latest video (https://lnkd.in/eSE7-AU3). The video explores how agricultural drones are spearheading the green technology revolution and drastically reducing farming's carbon footprint. It also illustrates the many service applications that could be used to support the federal government, e.g., invasive pieces, firefighting, fire prevention, and infrastructure inspection & protection. As sustainability takes center stage, these advanced spray drones transform agriculture with innovative solutions. Transformation and drone innovation are also essential as they can support the goals of each federal agency’s Chief Sustainability Officer and their annual Climate Action Plans. In this video, you'll discover: Eco-Friendly Innovations: How drones enhance pesticide efficiency and conserve resources for more sustainable farming. Carbon Footprint Reduction: The role of these drones in reducing fuel consumption and emissions, making farming practices more eco-friendly. Advanced Green Technology: How cutting-edge drones integrate state-of-the-art tech with sustainable farming techniques. Safe Technology: Insights into the rigorous testing by multiple government agencies that validate the safety and effectiveness of these drones. This video offers valuable insights into how embracing these technologies benefits farmers and supports global efforts for cleaner, more efficient farming.?It also discusses some of the challenges farmers face in trying to scale the adoption of this technology for the benefit of the federal government and the American people - cheaper, better, faster, safer food, fiber, and lower-carbon biofuels. Thank you for joining us on this journey towards a more sustainable future in agriculture – saving farms and lives – one drone at a time. I hope this video sparks new ideas on leveraging technology for a greener planet. Feel free to share this with colleagues and friends who are passionate about innovative and sustainable farming practices! #DronesForGoodTeam #Dronesforgood DRONERESPONDERS #Agriculture #FoodSecurity #TechForGood #Farmers #GlobalTrade #Innovation #PolicyMatters ?#publicsafety #uas #dfr Vets to Drones #drones #UPASS Renewable Fuels Association #sustainability #ethanol #renewablefuels #biofuels Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition GWRCCC Antoine M. Local public safety officers must be well-versed in drone regulations to manage rogue drone activities effectively.?The FAA's LEAP program offers vital support, but the on-the-ground enforcement begins with officers who understand what they can enforce and how.?Educating law enforcement on drone identification, permissible actions, and collaboration with the FAA is crucial for maintaining public safety.?DRONERESPONDERS had a good conversation with the FAA about the topic at a summit this week.? https://lnkd.in/gxC5g-zB
