‘‘We are committed to creating a supportive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected’’- Geraldine Joanes, People and Culture Director at Diageo Ireland. At the recent Menopause Excellence Awards (a partnership between Menopause Hub and Great Place to Work? It’s an exciting day here at St James’s Gate, as we announce a further €30 million investment into the production of Guinness 0.0! Today’s investment will allow us to double our production capacity for Guinness 0.0 and brew 176 million pints of our non-alc stout a year, for domestic and international markets - as consumer demand continues to grow for non-alcoholic options. Earlier this week, we were delighted to welcome An Tánaiste Micheál Martin and Senator Catherine Ardagh to St James's Gate. While here, our Director of Beer Operations Aidan Crowe, brought them through the process of brewing Guinness 0.0; how it's brewed the exact same way as Guinness, and then goes through an additional complex process to gently remove the alcohol, while protecting the quality and taste of the product, guaranteeing the same premium experience that people have come to expect from Guinness – just without the alcohol. We’re really excited about the future for Guinness 0.0 and through investments like today, we are happy to support the rising demand for premium, non-alc options and consumers’ move towards moderation. #GuinnessZero #Innovation #NonAlcoholic #Investment

Last week we hosted 80 of Diageo's senior leaders from across Europe, all of whom visited Trinity College Dublin, for a three-day Digital Leadership Accelerator Training programme – a programme that was expertly developed in collaboration with Trinity Business School. At Diageo, we take a digital-first approach to business and with Dublin as Diageo’s European Digital Hub, it was the perfect location for informative panel discussions, workshops and presentations on; ?? AI strategy in business ?? The opportunity that Digital Transformation can offer your business ?? The importance of agile digital mindsets ?? Digital transformation through AI We were also honoured to have Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Dara Calleary in attendance, where he highlighted how – for a small island, Ireland plays such an outsized role in technology and digital transformation across Europe, something we at Diageo are proud to be a part of. We’re committed to leading this digital change across our business and plan to build on the information shared over these three days to maximise the opportunity that digital transformation can bring to our employees and our customers alike. #DigitalTransformation #Diageo #AI #Technology?#Data #BusinessInnovation

Very proud to launch a global innovation for Diageo in Ireland this week, a new keg and dispense system for spirits. We believe this innovation has the potential to transform how our customers serve spirits, saving time and space in the bar as well as lowering carbon emissions by as much as 50% by creating a more circular economy. So how does it work? The bespoke innovative technology automatically refills a dispensing bottle of Smirnoff securely, once it is placed in the Everpour unit. Once the keg is empty, it is collected, cleaned and refilled by Diageo before being re-distributed to participating bars. Find out more about the trial and the potential benefits we are exploring in our press release: https://lnkd.in/e5wHG3b6 Drink responsibly. DRINKiQ.com

Last week, we were glad to welcome MP Robin Swann to our Baileys Mallusk production plant in Northern Ireland. ? During the visit, Mr. Swann got a firsthand account of Diageo’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability in the production of the world's most loved liqueur, Baileys Original Irish Cream. ? Interim Operations Manager at the site, Fred Skelly and Head of Baileys Operations Robert Murphy, hosted Mr. Swann on the day and gave a behind-the scenes look at the phenomenal scale of the operation which, as 'Global Supply Plant of the Year 2022', is proud to be one of Diageo’s most efficient manufacturing sites internationally. ? Mr. Swann heard from Plant Lead Manufacturing Technician Miriam Gonzalez Temes on how we utilise Irish Whiskey and delicious fresh cream from the island of Ireland, to develop the unmistakable quality and taste of Baileys. Site Engineering Manager Tom Brown also took the time to explain the logistics involved in bottling and exporting Baileys every day to customers all around the globe. ? We are grateful for Mr. Swann's support of local industry in Northern Ireland, and we were glad to have the opportunity to discuss with him, our ambitions to decarbonise the site and transform the packaging materials we use in line with Diageo’s Society 2030 commitments. ? Once again, thank you MP Robin Swann for visiting us at Baileys Mallusk, and taking the time to hear about our continued commitment to delivering exceptional products while fostering a positive impact on society and the environment. ? #Diageo #BaileysIrishCreamLiqueur #BaileysMallusk #Innovation

We are seeing a continued and concerted move towards moderation among consumers, something that the recent Drinks Ireland - Ibec report confirmed, highlighting that non-alcohol beer sales in Ireland grew by 18% last year. This growing demand underscores the consumer-led shift towards greater balance and underpins the importance of established brands being able to offer consumers greater choice when it comes to non-alcohol alternatives of their favourite products. We've had great success in this area already through the rollout of Guinness 0.0 to more than 1,600 pubs across Ireland, and our recent launch of Rockshore 0.0 is another important step in our ongoing journey and investment in the non-alcohol category. Choice is key for consumers. The rising demand for non-alcohol products speaks volumes and we’re glad to be at the forefront of that, continuing to offer great-tasting, high quality alcohol-free options to those seeking to moderate. #Rockshore00 #NonAlcohol #Guinness00 #Moderation #Choice https://lnkd.in/eAbdAiHi
