?? Exciting News! The National Military Family Association (NMFA) has released its 2024 Series of Surveys, with research and analysis conducted in collaboration with Deloitte. While military families experience frequent moves, deployments and risk of injury, 8 in 10 service members and spouses (81%) are “likely” or “very likely” to encourage their children to serve. “For many military families, service is a family business,” said Besa Pinchotti, NMFA CEO. “Military life is hard — but it’s also good. Nearly 90% of military parents report their children benefit from military life, becoming more resilient.” The report also identified areas for improvement with various support programs, including added layers of assistance to help families overcome challenges related to relocations. Vehicle navigation systems, cellphone weather apps, TV broadcasts and myriad other technologies depend on satellites, but they are increasingly targeted by cyber threats. To combat this, Deloitte is expanding the Space ISAC’s Watch Center with a new Hub in Australia, providing global real-time threat intelligence and cybersecurity safeguards. “Today, there are more than 10,000 satellites in orbit, many with fewer cybersecurity safeguards than the average smartphone,” said Lt. Gen.
