Schools, NGOs, businesses, and individuals came together to spread smiles, uplift communities, and create lasting impact. The beauty of DaanUtsav lies in its simplicity – in the thought that giving, no matter how big or small, brings us closer. While these seven days may end, the essence of giving doesn’t have to. Let’s carry the joy in our hearts and continue to make every day an opportunity to give, share, and connect. I had the most heartwarming experience working with Bakul Foundation during Daan Utsav this year, serving as the coordinator for two slums in Bhubaneswar- Harekrushna Nagar and Ishaneswar. Watching the smiles of the children, hearing their laughter, and being part of a day dedicated to spreading joy is truly why I love what I do. ?? On October 6th, we reached an incredible milestone- 2500+ children, 600+ volunteers, 50 coordinators, and 30+ slums covered. It was an unforgettable day of service, filled with love and compassion. A huge thank you to Sujit Mahapatra sir and Bakul Foundation for giving me the opportunity to be part of such a beautiful movement. Special thanks to Shruti Kanungo, Alok Kumar, Saubhagya Beura, Bishal Mohanty, and the many other incredible volunteers from Bakul Foundation, who played a huge role in making this day happen. ?? To all the volunteers from Inara Foundation and SRC XIMB, your dedication made this day even more special for our children. Seeing the happiness on their faces is a reminder of why I love working with kids, they remind us what pure joy feels like. From October 2nd to 8th, as the nation embraces the spirit of Daan Utsav, we at Bhumi have kickstarted our celebrations with a meaningful act of kindness. We hosted a blood donation campaign at our Alwarpet office in collaboration with the Lions Club Blood Bank. We are immensely proud to share that 16 Bhumi employees participated, donating blood and embodying the joy of giving that Daan Utsav inspires. It’s a reminder that every small act of generosity can make a lasting impact on lives. Rina grew up in an environment where opportunities were scarce, and her future seemed uncertain. At 17, she was at risk of being forced into an early marriage and faced a life without education or independence. But her life took a new turn when she joined Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti. ?? Her Journey: With the support of our women’s empowerment program, Rina gained access to vocational training, mental health support, and leadership development. She not only completed her education but also developed the skills to advocate for herself and others. Today, Rina is an influential community leader, helping other girls in similar situations break free from the cycle of poverty and societal pressure. ?? Her Impact: Rina has helped over 30 young women in her community get access to education and training. She leads workshops on mental health awareness and skill development. "Can one small act of kindness make a difference?" During Daan Utsav, we at iVolunteer teamed up with NavRiseup India Care Foundation for the amazing #SevaSandwich initiative. We assembled over 200 sandwiches in 24 hours with the dedicated passionate volunteers! ?? These sandwiches were distributed across Mulund and Thane, bringing joy and smiles to children and families. As part of our ongoing efforts to support vulnerable communities, the Neemola Maternity Kits Distribution is in full swing. By the end of #JoyOfGivingWeek this #DaanUtsav, we aim to reach 500 target beneficiaries, including pregnant women, lactating mothers, and the elderly, across 20 tribal forest villages in Daspalla, Odisha.
