We are helping to shape the future leaders in hotel real estate! This week students from Glion Institute of Higher Education visited Prague for their feasibility project field-work as part of their finance specialization. Students met with the representatives of Penta Real Estate and visited their hotel under The Cloud One Hotels brand as well as their impressive Masary?ka Building, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. To understand the Prague's hospitality landscape, students visited several leading hotels such as Four Seasons Prague, Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Prague, Hilton Prague & Hilton Prague Old Town and newly opened W Prague. Finally, the students presented their projects to our hospitality team in Cushman & Wakefield's Prague office. It was an inspiring experience to see students to share their creative hotel concepts and strategic positioning ideas. Engaging with these bright minds not only supports their education but also helps us build lasting relationships that may evolve into future colleagues, clients, or partners. We’re proud to say that several Glion graduates are already part of our Cushman & Wakefield Hospitality team across Europe! ?? ?? San Francisco Hotel Market Overview – H1 2024 COVID-19 has strongly impacted the San Francisco hotel market, and recovery will require patience and a long-term perspective. While many markets in the USA have regained RevPAR after the downturn, the San Francisco Bay Area continues to face challenges, with RevPAR remaining below 2019 levels. Nevertheless, recent conversations with many hotel market participants reveal a renewed optimism about long-term improvement. Over the next few years, occupancy levels are expected to increase but remain below pre-pandemic peaks, with gradual annual ADR improvement. The lack of hotel transactions reflects concerns about the San Francisco market. Since 2020, RCA/MSCI data has recorded only 17 hotel sales for lodging use, including discounted hotel debt purchases.
