Streaming live this Saturday, March 22—our short film? “Silver Screen Cowboys” gives a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of creating a Western movie featuring the products that help make it happen. ? We made this short film to celebrate the people who live this life every day. Cowboys, ranchers, hard workers—the ones who know that grit, skill, and the right tools make all the difference. ? That’s why, back in August, we sent our video crew to California—not to make a full Western movie, but to document the real work that goes into making one—and to showcase the gear that keeps it all running. ? That’s where James Landry Hébert and Jay T. Rockwell come in. You might recognize James from 1883 and Yellowstone, but before Hollywood, he was living the life. ? Born into a Cajun family in Louisiana, James lost his parents young and was adopted by a Chitimacha couple. ? Growing up on an Indian reservation, he learned the value of hard work and respect for the land. Before acting, he worked as a horse wrangler—long before the cameras ever rolled. ? Joining him is Jay T. Rockwell, a fifth-generation cowboy, 14-time world record-breaking stuntman, Hollywood trick horse trainer, and classically trained actor. ? Jay’s deep-rooted connection to the cowboy lifestyle brings unparalleled authenticity to our film. ? This short film isn’t just about how Westerns are made—it’s about the people, the process, and the tools that keep everything running. Shot with the energy of an action film, it captures the behind-the-scenes moments, the challenges, and the products that make tough jobs easier—on and off the screen. ? Join us this Saturday, March 22, at 1 PM CT on the Ranch Hand Instagram for the live stream of the short film. And because we appreciate those who stick around to the end—drop a comment below, and the first 10 people will get some ranch hand merch sent their way. ?
