For the past five years, CSC has analyzed how many and which #domainsecurity measures the Forbes Global 2000 companies have adopted. Out of five key measures examined, only one has gone down in use. Domain name system (DNS) redundancy declined by 1% from 2023 to 2024. Redundancy is a cost-effective measure in which multiple DNS servers are deployed as backups in case one fails—because even a brief period of unexpected downtime in today’s online world could spell disaster for a business.
