Best way to start your Monday is with another speaker announcement ?? We’re pleased to announce Charu Menon will be joining us this Thursday to speak at BANDWIDTH PLUG-IN ?? As Managing Director & Executive Producer of Heckler HQ, Charu Menon has produced work that has been recognized at Cannes Lions, D&AD, AWARD, YDA, St Kilda, Doc Edge and Spikes, among others. She is a TVC and visual effects producer with over?fifteen years of experience in multiplatform storytelling across APAC for a slew of global brands including Apple, Adidas, Nike, Coke, Lego, and Samsung to name a few. Charu was part of the Direction Jury for D&AD in 2020 and 2022. She was a part of the Film Craft Jury at Cannes Lions 2023 and has also served on craft juries for Immortal Awards, Ciclope Asia, Ciclope Berlin, Ad Black Sea 2023 and Madstars in Korea. Additionally, she was voted as a Campaign Brief Asia Woman to Watch in 2021. Charu is the writer-producer and EP of ‘By the River’- an Australian documentary on the ‘death hotels’ in the holy Indian city of Varanasi which picked up a bunch of awards including the Golden Tripod at the Australian Cinematographer Society Awards 2020 and was the Official Selection at two Oscar qualifying International Film Festivals – Doc Edge and St Kilda Film Festival. It was also an Official Selection at the United Nations International Film Festival and bagged the best short documentary award at Moscow Short Film Festival. Please give a warm welcome to Charu!
