Looking forward to trying this…
There’s a common assumption that I’m not in favor of DTC for THC beverages just because it’s not our main focus Lolli Soda. Truth is, the most frequent DMs I get are from people pitching e-commerce solutions, usually based on their success with hemp brands. If I were doing what everyone else was there would be no reason for the company to exist. We are focused on content, and you will see paid ads, but it's a channel that long term is not a big priority for me. I’m all for consumer access. Destigmatizing the plant and making it easier for people to buy THC beverages is core to my mission. And yes, e-commerce is a great channel for that. But Lolli is made for people on the move. It’s best sold cold, in places where people buy drinks on impulse, just like any other fun, refreshing soda that I started my career selling. What about subscriptions? They work for supplements, coffee, and water, things people consume habitually. But a soda that gets you high? I’m not convinced it’s a fit. I’ll dive deeper in my next newsletter, but to be clear: I support any legal access point where adults can buy inebriating beverages. Oh and we did kickstart our IG, Tik Tok and X accounts. Stay tuned for some unique collaborations and series. Here's an unauthorized picture of Houston music and cannabis legend Devin the Dude with Lolli Soda
