Ground-breaking preliminary results?in favor of Cook’s drug-eluting stent in REALDES 3-year data ?? ???? ? This investigator-initiated study is focused on comparing performance of Cook Medical’s polymer-free drug-eluting stent (DES) and a competitor’s polymer-coated DES in real-world practice.?? ? The study reveals:? ???? ?? No significant difference in primary patency or freedom from CD-TLR between the stents, despite Cook Medical’s polymer-free DES arm having significantly longer lesions. ?? Among patients with restenosis at 3 years, there was a significantly lower rate of in-stent occlusions (Tosaka class III) for those treated with Cook Medical’s DES compared to the competitor. ?? ?? Watch this recording of the REALDES 36-months data. ?? ? With 120 passionate nurses in attendance, the event focused on education, best practice, and hands-on experience with a wide range of devices. A huge thank you to Sam Farah, Kalpa Perera, Kit Tan and Mele’ana Kaitu’u for their incredible efforts in bringing together nurses, industry and physicians for an engaging and collaborative event. #MelbourneVascularAssosciates #vascularsurgery #education #healthcare
