Disney and ESPN are reporting a 200% YoY rise in total Women’s March Madness ad sales, with 95% of the tournament's inventory sold. Ads set to run alongside the 2025 championship game sold out completely more than three months ago, with brand interest surging as women's college basketball viewership continues to skyrocket. “We actually had to strategically fight to not sell out sooner, especially based on what we saw during the past two years,“ Jacqueline Dobies, Disney Advertising’s vice president of revenue and yield management, told AdWeek. “A lot of years ago, the question was: ‘How do we convince brands to buy women’s sports?’ That’s not the conversation anymore. It’s: ‘How do we make space for everybody?’” With returning brands upping their budgets by 81%, 45 new brands joining the tournament's run, and some championship spots topping $1 million, Disney Advertising now puts Women's March Madness ad rates on par with the NBA Finals and College Football National Championship.
