The Community Real Estate Academy (CREA) is offering real estate education classes that began on January 27th?in Selma and Demopolis Alabama.?Taught by Tulane Universities' Sustainable Real Estate Master Program faculty and other Prominent real estate developers, CREA is a real estate education program created by?Reimagine Development Partners?(Reimaginedp.com) that is committed to equipping local developers and community leaders with the skills, knowledge, and unwavering support needed to develop their own real estate projects in the black belt area. CREA is officially collaborating with the John Robert Louis Black Belt Development Process whose mission has been to holistically revitalize the black belt of Alabama. The John Robert Louis Black Belt Development Process created the Johnathan Daniels Community Development Corporation which brought over 90 million dollars in resources for low-income housing in Selma County. On January 11th?CREA will be in Selma at their first in person meeting with the John Robert Louis Black Belt Development Process. CREA is excited to be a part of something great by extending our knowledge in real estate development education to help empower the Selma, Demopolis, and other Black Belt communities. Our first cohort had over 40 applicants which is double the capacity of our available spots! So far we have had two in person sessions and seven virtual sessions. Our amazing participants have selected their desired project locations and are actively building their pitch decks directly aside what they are learning in class.
