At Community Care Campus, we ensure that our clients receive three meals a day which provides more than just food, it helps them build connections with each other, provides a send of comfort, and promotes healing. We were thrilled to welcome Steve Kim, LCSW, and Madeline Rodriguez, LMFT, from Project Kinship for a tour of our Community Care Campus in Long Beach, led by Paul Leon. Project Kinship is a nonprofit organization based in Santa Ana whose mission to provide support and training to lives impacted by incarceration, gangs, and violence through hope, healing, and transformation. Our organziations share similar values of making a meaningful impact in our communities by spreading hope and offering pathways to healing, and we were excited to share about our project as well as hear more about their life-changing work. We recently had the pleasure of hosting the Archstone Foundation’s Laura Rath, PhD., MSG, Vice President of Programs, and Gerson Galdamez, PhD, Program Officer, for a tour of NHHA’s Community Care Campus in Long Beach. The Archstone Foundation, based in Long Beach, is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of older Californians and their caregivers. They fund initiative-based grants and educational programs to meet the emerging needs of this growing population.? They toured all around the campus, stopping by the Recuperative Care wing, Housing services office as well as the future sites of many services coming soon like Urgent Care and Children’s Recuperative Care, the future home of Fred the Teddy Bear! We're excited to announce a major milestone: we are now serving over 50 Recuperative Care clients in partnership with NHHA's Community Care Campus Pomona! This incredible growth has happened in just a month since the site opened. Our team's commitment to welcoming, caring for, and prioritizing each client has made this possible.
