Coalition for Workforce Development through CTE

I want to take a moment to honor and thank Rob Balfanz for his incredible service to the Coalition for Workforce Development through CTE. Rob is the outgoing Chair of the Advisory Council and I have had the pleasure of working with Rob over the last four year to develop our first Advisory Council, a strategic plan, several Summits and a multitude of webinars for our members. Rob came to this work with a passion for helping industry associations build their talent pipeline. He has the highest of integrity, is thoughtful and works hard to make sure that all voices are heard. Rob is a coach in his personal life as well as his role on the Council. He knows how to lift people up and to welcome people to the team. Rob has become a true friend and colleague in this work and I want to personally thank him for dedication and for the opportunity to work beside him and the rest of the Advisory Council the last several years. I think I can speak on behalf of the Coalition that you will be deeply missed and even though you will not be in the Chair position, I know you will still be part of the Coalition, and for that I am grateful. A special should out to Association for Career and Technical Education for their commitment to workforce development through this program. Without you, we would not be here today. My thanks goes out to my employer Ford Next Generation Learning (Ford NGL) for providing me the time and resources to be part of this organization. It has truly been a joy and has helped me better understand the struggles faced by industry associations in their quest to develop their pipeline.

Thrilled that students from North East Independent School District and Rhodes Branding were able to support this year's Summit 7.0. We can't wait to see what they produce!

My cup is full after closing the Workforce Development thru CTE Coalition at #ACTESummit2025. The Coalition consists of primarily industry associations who are committed to helping their members build their talent pipeline thru engagement with quality CTE programs. We spent 1-? days hearing from leaders like Matthew Scott, Regional Education Administrator, Southeast Region - Federal Bureau of Prisons on hiring people who are re-entering the workforce and Samantha Evans, on Demystifying Disabilities. We learned from each other and supported each other and made new friends. It has been my utmost pleasure to be part of this organization from the beginning and to be a part of a stellar team to give this organization wings. If you are not part of the Coalition for Workforce Development through CTE, you should consider being part of this supportive group.
