From our ECE portfolio: Spotlight on kindergarten readiness. This project, funded by CME Group Foundation, examines the relationship of kindergarten readiness to later school outcomes, along with factors that influence kindergarten readiness in Illinois. Two reports from this study have been released on trends in kindergarten readiness, implementation of the state's kindergarten readiness measure with English Learners, and the predictive power of this measure for Grade 3 outcomes. Soon we will release reports on the relationship of PreK experiences to kindergarten and Grade 3 outcomes, as well as how districts influence students' academic outcomes from K to 3. https://lnkd.in/g7eHV9sZ

Mentorship plays a crucial role in guiding high school students through the college preparation process, which is where CME Group Foundation grantee iMentor Chicago comes in. This partnership goes beyond financial support, with many CME Group employees serving as volunteer mentors. Tina Lopez and Jada Aduda are two such volunteers – who also happen to be former CME Group Foundation Scholars. “Both Tina and Jada’s journey from CME Group Foundation scholar, to full time employee, to a volunteer mentor has been great to witness,” says Eva Giglio, Executive Director, CME Group Foundation. “I think it says a lot about the importance of investing in the next generation of leaders and the power of giving back.” ??
