Cleveland Clinic teamed up with community partners to ensure that local families in need could enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Volunteers from Cleveland Clinic, Meijer and Morrison Healthcare prepared and delivered more than 3,500 hearty meals across Northeast Ohio. Each turkey dinner came with all the classic trimmings, including mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, a soft roll and a slice of pie. Thanksgiving meals were distributed in collaboration with trusted community partners, including the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority, Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, East Mount Zion Baptist Church, Fairfax Renaissance Development Corporation, Famicos Foundation, The City Mission, YMCA of Greater Cleveland, and Y-Haven. For the past six years, Cleveland Clinic has hosted its annual Thanksgiving meal distribution to help combat hunger and spread holiday cheer throughout the community. This impactful collaboration has resulted in the distribution of 10,000 meals since the program’s launch, providing essential nourishment to those in need. We're thrilled to share that Cleveland Clinic has received $30 million in gifts from the Bailey-Haslam family. Their generosity will support and expand cardiovascular genetics research by establishing the Haslam Family Section for Cardiovascular Genetics. The gift will also help provide genetic testing for family members of any patient at Cleveland Clinic diagnosed with a inherited heart condition.
