On this National #STEMDay, it's been a day of education and exploration for our local CITGO Innovation Academy students! ?? Elementary and middle school students from the Corpus Christi and West Oso school districts spent the day at the Texas State Aquarium learning about wildlife conservation through exhibits, presentations, and interactive experience with animals. High school students traveled to Houston for a visit to Space Center Houston, which is considered the world's leading science and human space exploration and experience STEM learning center. We are proud to support the students and teachers who are committed to STEM education!

It has been an incredible kickoff week for our annual United Way Giving Campaign! Since launching on Monday, we already have more than 200 employees who have generously pledged to support the United Way of the Coastal Bend and its community partners. CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery hosted a fair to help employees become familiar with some of those organizations. We ended the week by treating all employees to appreciation lunches to thank them for their generosity. We are well on our way to our goal for giving and continuing to Fuel Good in our community!

It was wonderful to see some of our CITGO Innovation Academy students in action today at the State of the District event hosted by the Corpus Christi Education Foundation (CCEF)! The students from the Land Robotics team at Moody High School were able to show off their hard work to attendees of this sold out event. These young leaders, along with members of the Moody Underwater Robotics team, also received special recognition for their success in competitions during the past year. We appreciate the Corpus Christi Independent School District for always showcasing and celebrating the accomplishments of their students. Congratulations to CCEF and CCISD on another successful State of the District.
