CCPS is pleased to announce the release of the final copy of the Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) Safe Work Practice. Simultaneous Operations or SIMOPS is a significant issue in offshore operations and is extensively covered in the CCPS book on Process Safety in Upstream Oil and Gas. SIMOPS is defined as two or more different activities occurring at the same time that are close enough to interfere with each other and transfer risk or performance implications.
