On World Diabetes Day, we spotlight the critical importance of accurate diabetes diagnosis. A recent study found that nearly one-third of individuals with Type 1 Diabetes were initially misdiagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, and over 75% did not receive essential autoantibody (AA) testing. These findings emphasize a need for more AA testing at screening and diagnosis.
