I'm looking forward to joining two farmers on this panel at the California Dairy Sustainability Summit, March 25th in Visalia. Long-time industry colleague Ryan Flaherty will be moderating the conversation focused on subsurface drip irrigation using manure effluent (SDI-E). Netafim created SDI-E by working with its farm partners to find beneficial use of effluent, and Sustainable Conservation has championed SDI-E expansion with USDA-NRCS over the past decade. California has led the way on this technology and there is so much more potential nationally to improve on-farm outcomes and water quality in our rural communities. Corporate funders have also contributed funding to help them achieve their water sustainability goals.
