The 15th Annual Cade Prize for Inventivity is now open for applications. Named after the lead inventor of #Gatorade at the University of Florida in 1965, the Cade Prize competition celebrates early-stage inventors and entrepreneurs with $100,000 in equity-free cash prizes and free legal services. Yesterday night, Colin Kruger and I had the privilege of once again representing #WriggleBrew at the Cade Prize for Inventivity finalist competition. We are pleased to announce that WriggleBrew was declared the winner of not just the $10,000 Environmental Category Prize, but the Student's choice award AND the overall Cade Prize for Inventivity $50,000 Grand Prize. We are extremely grateful to the Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention for the opportunity to share the amazing #sustainability research Gabriel DeGaglia and our team have been pursuing these many years in organic fertilizer production and plastic upcycling. Get to know our Cade Prize Finalist! ?? MagLev by VeriChem, Inc. As Jay Letendre, Founder and CEO of VeriChem Inc., explains, “VeriChem Inc. has developed an innovative technology designed to help law enforcement detect illegal drugs more accurately and efficiently in the field. Our invention, called MagLev, uses magnetic levitation to separate drugs from common cutting agents like sugar, which are often used to dilute them.
