Our cohort members are spending time in the classroom not just as students, but as faculty. Take Esteban L. for example. Esteban is a faculty lecturer in the Administrative Science Department with a concentration in innovation and technology at Boston University. Before becoming an Executive Ph.D. candidate at Bentley University, he had years of experience in technology and innovation, including in multinational firms such as Oracle Corporation and small to medium-sized enterprises. He also had experience in the higher education industry as a Lecturer for undergraduate and graduate students. His scholarly interests include entrepreneurship in emerging markets, entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, and leadership. ??? Our students come from a number of industries and backgrounds, bringing a unique perspective to their conversations as a cohort. Take for example our next Meet the Cohort student, Alexis Lawlor McQueeney. Alexis is the Associate Director of Operations Financial Planning & Analysis for Advanced Structures at Collins Aerospace, an RTX company. She has spent her career in finance at RTX across multiple units after starting in the Financial Leadership Development Program. Alexis participated in the RTX Employee Scholar Program to obtain her MBA at Bentley University and is pursuing her PhD using the same program. Based on her experience in a corporate Leadership Development Program she is researching the benefit of these programs to firm performance and how to increase program effectiveness. ??? “As a lifelong learner the Bentley Executive PhD offers the opportunity to continue my education while maintaining my career and family life. If you've been considering earning a PhD, may I suggest the Bentley University Executive PhD in Business? I'm in the second year of the program and it's been a wonderful experience digging deep into quantitative and qualitative research methods along with organizational theory. From this UXer's perspective, the business and management academics need more #UX instilled into their world, which is one of my new life goals. Note that the "Executive" aspect is purely the part-time, compressed, hybrid format. We are (definitely!) earning full PhDs in this program and doing similar work to what the full-time students are doing, just in a shorter timeframe. Here's the latest flyer for the program, which includes the application deadlines. They're also holding info sessions for folks who are interested.
